I love to play with the lights and the shades, it's like in art painting an incredible way to define and to emphasize. It's important to know your features and what do you want to hide and accentuate. A good contouring can slim your face, your nose and bring light without surgery. It's really a life changing for me, I can instantly see it in pictures.
I've been trying a lot of powders to contour and highlight and I only talk about products that I really like and use a lot, this is one of them...
I´m a sucker when it comes to palettes, I love eye shadow palettes, blush palettes, concealer palettes, combined palettes... I also tried the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour palette, but this one is the next level. Also, it sounds weird but I personally prefer to contour my face with powders. I know that the majority of makeup addicts love to do it with creamy textures, but I find that on me it´s more natural and less extreme with blendable powders like these.
This amazing product comes with 6 powders, 3 to contour and 3 to highlight. It´s great to have it if you are a makeup artist because you can choose the shades to adapt them to the skin tone of your client, but I also love it on myself, even if I have fair to medium warm skin tone (depending of the season).
At first, I was afraid of only using two shades, but I love everyone that comes in this palette. I sometimes mix different powders together or I use one and after another darker to define even more the contour. I pick the deepest shades (levitation and subconscious) on my eyes to contour, line and define my crease.
This product is one of the best I have ever tried to sculpt my face through the art of shading, because the pigmentation is incredible, the powders blend like butter and they stay in place during the day without fading.
What surprised me the most when I first used it was the coverage, the shades for highlighting actually set pretty well my concealer without a cakey finish and help me in the difficult task of hiding any sign of lack of sleep. All the powders have a matte texture and they come in a very cool and edgy packaging.
